JAY's Make-Up with Girl Talk

This is Oheenewaa. She is the presenter of Girl Talk. This program is all about girls so the colors must be colorful and bright. For her eyeshadows i decided to use blue and gold to blend them together because these two colors look really good together. For her lips I used pink to bring out her beautiful lips. As you can see they are thick and so it should come out boldly but subtle at the same time. As much as i want to use all the bright colors since its recorded during the day it should be day make-up.

JAY's Make-Up with EAZZY BABY

JAY's Make-up for "Let's get it Started"
This is Eazzy, one of the female artiste  in the music industry in Ghana. I had the opportunity to do her make-up for a music video for Ziggy’s new song ‘Let’s Get it Started’. Her make-up for the video was a wild one because of the story behind the video. Just check out some of the pictures and the video as well

A few questions my friends asked me and here are my answers to the questions.

1.     What was your experience shooting a music video?
It was fun. It was something different from the normal studio work that I do. This time around I had to dab off sweat a lot since it was in an open place and the artist was dancing a lot. The crew were all new people that I had not met so the environment was different. All in all it was pleasant, yet challenging too however I still enjoyed myself.

2.     How long did it take you?
It took the whole day starting from the morning since we needed daylight. We shot at a mechanics place first and then moved to different locations. Each location needed different make-up to reflect the environment.

3.     Would you do it again?
Yes I totally would. It was a difference experience all together and it allows you to use a lot of colors with the shadows for the eyes. It also inspires you to learn more on make-up for different themes. I love being versatile with my make-up and music videos give me that opportunity.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF LIPS

Thick Lip
THICK LIPS – Select natural colours and darker shades, avoiding bright glossy colours.
  • Blend foundation over the lips to disguise the natural lip line
  • Apply a darker lipliner inside the natural lip line to create a new line

THICKER UPPER  OR LOWER LIP
  • Use the technique described above to make the larger lip appear smaller
  • Apply a slightly darker lipstick to the larger lip
  • If the lips droop at the corners, raise the corners by applying lipliner to the corners of the upper lip to turn them upwards.

Thin Upper Lip
THIN LIPS- Select brighter, pearlised colours. Avoid darker lipsticks, which will make the mouth appear smaller.
  • apply a natural lipliner just outside the lip line

SMALL MOUTH
  • extend the line slightly to the corners of the mouth, with both the upper and the lower lips

UNEVEN LIPS
  • Use a lipliner to draw in a new line
  • Apply lipstick to the area

LINES AROUND THE MOUTH

  • Apply lipliner around the natural lip line
  • Apply a matt cream lipstick to the lips. (don’t use gloss, which might bleed into the lines around the mouth)
